Mackmyra – Svensk Ek Swedish Single Malt Whisky

Mackmyra Svensk Ek is a Swedish single malt made with 100% Swedish ingredients and matured in casks coopered from Swedish oak, which give a firmer, spicier character. Part of the whisky is aged in smaller barrels to draw out more flavour. The nose is fruity, with citrus, pear, apple and honey, alongside light oak, lightly toasted bread and fresh butter toffee. The palate is spicy, with sandalwood, dried ginger, black pepper, roasted oak and herbs, and fruity and smooth with citrus, caramel and honey. The aftertaste is balanced, with hints of dark chocolate.
