MacNair's Lum Reek is a 12 year old blended malt, bringing together single malts from Islay and Speyside. The recipe was created by Billy Walker and includes both peated and unpeated whiskies, among them aged GlenAllachie single malt.
This is a small batch bottling, matured at the GlenAllachie Distillery in first fill Bourbon, Pedro Ximenez and red wine casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, with no added colouring and no chill-filtration.
The nose offers sweet peat reek, butterscotch, mocha and gentle nutmeg. On the palate come heather honey, rich toffee and sweet spices, with peat underneath.
