MacNair's Lum Reek 21 Year Old is a small-batch blended malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 48% ABV. Billy Walker marries peated and unpeated single malts from Islay and Speyside with mature GlenAllachie. The whisky matured in Oloroso sherry, red wine and virgin oak casks at the GlenAllachie distillery in Speyside. It is non-chill-filtered and free of added colour.
The nose offers ripe oak, cigar box and wood smoke beside gentle peat smoke, dark chocolate, runny honey and vanilla fudge. On the palate come cedar, milk chocolate, apricot, leather, earthy peat and black pepper, with a touch of charcoal. The finish carries thyme honey, glowing embers and dark chocolate tart.
