MahJong Project Glen Garioch 2011 7 Years Old (70cl)

This is a 7 year old Highland single malt from Glen Garioch, in a 70cl bottle. It is a single cask bottling from the MahJong Project, a joint series put together by Whisky Lover with partners in Taiwan, mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Glen Garioch is known for a waxy texture and a robust, honeyed Highland style, and this one has good body for its age. The nose is typically described as heather honey, ginger spice, beeswax and dried apricot. The palate is waxy and chewy, with malt loaf, nutmeg, pepper and rich honey. The finish is spicy and warming, with oak and ginger.
