Maiz Nation Malted Barley Mexican Single Malt Whiskey (75cl, 50%)

Maiz Nation Malted Barley is a Mexican single malt made entirely from malted barley at the SolCraft distillery in San Agustín Etla, Oaxaca. It is bottled at cask strength, 50% ABV, without dilution. The barley is fermented for six days and distilled by Jonathan Barbieri in a solar-powered copper alembic, at an altitude of 1,600 metres. The whisky matures in 200-litre deep-charred white American oak barrels. It is described as malt-forward, with toasted grain, honey and dried fruit, alongside vanilla, caramel and warm spice from the charred oak.
