Maker's Mark 101 Limited Release is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 101 proof (50.5%) in a 750ml bottle. It is made at Star Hill Farm in Loretto, Kentucky.
The mash bill uses soft red winter wheat in place of rye, and the higher bottling strength gives the bourbon added richness and intensity.
The nose is rich caramel, toasted oak, vanilla and warm baking spices. The palate is fuller bodied, with toffee, brown sugar, cinnamon and creamy oak, and the finish is long and warming, with spice and sweet vanilla.
