Mal Bien Espadín Quinceañera Cortes (75cl)

Mal Bien Espadín Quinceañera Cortes is a single village mezcal made from Espadín agave in Oaxaca, Mexico, in the artisanal tradition. It is a special Quinceañera edition released under the Mal Bien label, with Felipe and Ageo Cortes named as the producers. The character is agave-led, with earthy minerality, gentle smoke and a savoury edge. It suits sipping neat or mixing in cocktails such as a Mezcal Negroni. On the nose there is roasted agave, light smoke, green herbs, citrus peel and damp earth. The palate is layered and lively, with cooked agave, mineral salinity, pepper and soft smoke. The finish is clean, dry and lingering, with savoury spice.
