Mal Bien Green Tape Espadín Ramírez is an artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico, made from Espadín agave (A. angustifolia). The bottle names Felix Ramírez as the producer and Tocana, Ejutla as the village.
The nose is fresh roasted agave with green herbs, citrus peel, damp earth and a thread of smoke. The palate is crisp and agave-forward, with mineral salinity, black pepper, soft smoke and a savoury depth. The finish is clean, dry and lingering, with earthy agave, spice and a little smoke. It can be sipped neat or used in mezcal cocktails.
