Mal Bien Green Tape Espadín Ramos (75cl)

This is an artisanal Espadín mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico, made from A. angustifolia agave and sold in a 75cl bottle. The label names Victor and Emanuel Ramos as producers, in the village of Santo Tomas, Miahuatlán. It has an agave-forward character, earthy, herbal and mineral with a light thread of smoke. It suits sipping neat or mixing in cocktails. The nose brings roasted agave, green herbs, damp earth and citrus peel. The palate is crisp, with mineral salinity, pepper, cooked agave and gentle smoke. The finish is clean and dry, with earthy agave and herbal spice.
