Mal Bien Tequilero Rodriguez (75cl)

This is an artisanal agave spirit from Mal Bien, made from Tequilero agave in Michoacán, Mexico. The label names Isidro Rodriguez as the producer and Rio de Parras as the village. It comes in a 75cl bottle with a screw cap, and the profile is earthy and mineral, with roasted agave, herbs, pepper and a light smokiness. The nose has roasted agave, green herbs, mineral earthiness, citrus peel and light smoke. On the palate it is crisp, with savoury agave, pepper, herbal depth, mineral salinity and a little smoke. The finish is clean, dry and lingering, with spice.
