Mannochmore 10 Year Old 2016/2026 Tawny Port Cask - Murray McDavid (70cl, 58.1%)

This is a 10 year old Mannochmore from Speyside, bottled by Murray McDavid for its Benchmark autumn 2026 collection. It was distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2026 at 58.1% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky first matured in American oak hogsheads, then spent its last five years in tawny port barriques from Caves de Murça, which added depth and a soft pink tone. It comes from casks 2100709 and 2100710, which gave 587 bottles. The nose offers strawberries, Bakewell tart and pastry. The palate brings dried malt, floral notes and poached pear, and the finish keeps mild orange and sweet oak spice.
