A 15-year-old Mannochmore single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2010 and bottled under the A Dream of Scotland name in a 10cl bottle.
It was finished for 21 months in a rum cask, and the nose shows that influence with pronounced high-ester notes. Pineapple, mango and papaya sit alongside juicy raisins and dark chocolate, with hints of rum-filled marzipan, brown sugar and dark caramel.
The palate is sweeter than the nose suggests, with crushed raisins, stewed plums, toffee and caramel, a little coconut and fine cardamom spice. The finish is very long, with dark chocolate, raisins and exotic fruit, joined by ginger and a light cinnamon note.
