Mars Maltage 'Cosmo' is a blended malt whisky from Japan, bottled in 2019 at 42% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The name is taken from a mountain in the Japan Central Alps close to the Mars Whisky distillery.
Cosmo is aged in sherry, bourbon and new American white oak casks. This limited bottling has been given an extra period in dry Spanish Manzanilla sherry casks.
The aromas are rich, with dried fruits, brown sugar and maple syrup from the casks. The palate is soft, with a slight bitterness alongside coconut and chocolate.
