The 2025 Edition from Mars Tsunuki, the second distillery of Hombo Shuzo, in Kagoshima on Kyushu. It is the fourth annual release in the series, blended from selected malt whiskies matured in bourbon and sherry casks, and bottled at 49% in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery has spent eight years experimenting with maturation and blending. The nose offers raisins, orange peel and chocolate. The palate brings cacao and bright citrus, and the finish has a gentle smokiness set against lingering sweetness.
