Mars Tsunuki The Peated is a limited-edition peated single malt from the Mars Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima, Japan. It was bottled in 2020 and is the distillery's second release. It is made with peated malt and matured in bourbon casks.
On the nose there is light but distinct peat smoke with honey, barley and orchard fruits such as apple, pear and quince. The palate is peaty and smoky, with smoked maple syrup, dried apricot, sandalwood, a little saltiness, honey and vanilla. The finish is drying and medium to long.
