Mars Tsunuki Single Malt 2022 Edition is the fifth release of Tsunuki single malt, made at the Mars Tsunuki distillery in Kagoshima, Japan, by Hombo Shuzo. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The malt is vatted from several kinds of cask, mostly bourbon and sherry, and this edition is made primarily from ex-bourbon whiskies. The label focuses on the distillery's pot stills.
The nose brings red butter, tart cake, strawberry jam, orangette and leather. The palate is full-bodied and sweet, with dark chocolate, cheesecake and blackberry. The finish is long, with wheat sweetness and fullness.
