This is a 4 year old Japanese single malt from the Mars Tsunuki distillery, distilled in 2017 and drawn from a single first-fill bourbon cask, No. 124. It is one of 200 bottles at 60% ABV, released for the 65th anniversary of La Maison du Whisky.
It is part of the first Single Cask Project to try different maturation sites. Spirit from a single run of new make was filled into three bourbon barrels: one aged at Tsunuki, one at Yakushima and one at Shinshu. This bottle comes from the barrel that matured at Tsunuki.
