Mars Tsunuki – Minami-Satsuma Art Collection #2 Japanese Single Malt Whisky (2023) (70cl, 53%)

This is a Japanese single malt from the Mars Tsunuki distillery in Kagoshima, released as Minami-Satsuma Art Collection #2. It is bottled at 53% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The collection is in its second year, and this release celebrates the artwork of Kenkichi Nishi, a Kagoshima native, titled 'Landscape with a Circuit Breaker'. It is Tsunuki's debut expression in the series. It was released in support of Japan's Furusato Nozei, or Hometown Tax Program, first introduced in 2007. Through this optional scheme, citizens support rural prefectures by choosing craft and artisanal goods, whisky among them.
