Mars Tsunuki – 2026 Edition Single Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 49%)

This is the 2026 Edition of Single Malt Tsunuki from the Mars Tsunuki distillery of Hombo Shuzo, bottled at 49% in a 70cl bottle. It is the fifth release in the annual edition series and the seventh Tsunuki single malt overall, counting The First and Peated. The malt was distilled between 2017 and 2022, mainly in 2020 and 2021, and matured in a range of casks, mostly bourbon and sherry. The label pays tribute to the distillery's original tower. The nose is described as cheesecake and orangettes with soft white smoke. On the palate come juicy pear compote and almond chocolate, leading to a long, full-bodied finish.
