Mars Tsunuki – Japanese Spring 2024 (70cl, 50%)

Japanese Spring 2024 is a limited single malt from Mars Whisky, made at its Tsunuki site and bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 400 bottles were filled for this version. About half of the blend comes from first and second-fill bourbon casks, with sherry and port casks added for depth. Some cask heads were replaced with cherry wood to evoke hanami, the Japanese custom of viewing spring blossom. The malted barley is peated to 20 ppm for a delicate smoke. The series marks spring in Japan, and each of the three Mars sites has its own bottling.
