Mars Tsunuki Minami-Satsuma Art Collection #01 is a Japanese whisky from Hombo Shuzo, matured for three years in a sherry hogshead cask.
The release celebrates Tsunuki in late autumn, with artwork by Takaaki Kubo on the bottle, the box and an included postcard. The art takes as its theme Minami-Satsuma, the city where Hombo Mars is based.
The sherry cask brings dried fruits, berries, cinnamon, a little nutmeg and oak. The whisky is fairly full bodied.
