Martini & Rossi Asti Spumante is a sweet Italian sparkling wine from Piedmont, made from 100% Moscato Bianco and carrying the Asti DOCG. This one comes in a 1.5 litre magnum.
It is made in a single fermentation in pressurised stainless steel tanks, which is stopped early to keep the grape's natural sweetness and aroma and hold the strength at 7.5% ABV. The house was founded in Turin in 1863.
The nose is perfumed with tropical flowers and lychee, then ripe peach, apricot, bergamot and lemon. The palate is medium-sweet with a fine, creamy mousse, poached pear, lemon sorbet and candied kumquat, kept fresh by crisp acidity. The finish is clean, with lingering peach and apricot.
