Martini & Rossi Extra Dry Vermouth (75cl, 15%)

Martini & Rossi Extra Dry is a dry vermouth that first appeared on New Year's Day in 1900, after ten years of refinement. It became the vermouth behind the Dry Martini cocktail, and it also makes a simple long drink with tonic. Its dry character comes from Florentine orris root, which grows for three years before being sun-dried and pressed. The root gives violet-scented, tart aromatic oils. The nose shows sharp citrus with a hint of raspberry, and the 15% vermouth is sold in a 75cl bottle.
