This is Masterson's 10 Year Old Straight Rye, a 100% rye whiskey pot-distilled at Alberta Distillers in Calgary, Canada. It was bottled by 35 Maple Street Spirits in Sonoma, California, at 45% ABV, or 90 proof, in a 75cl bottle.
The rye spent 10 years in white oak casks. The brand is named after William "Bat" Masterson, the buffalo hunter, army scout, lawman and newspaperman.
The nose is sweet cereal, caramel corn and creamy grain. The palate shows toast, milled grain and Cream of Wheat, and the finish carries white pepper.
