This is a ten-year-old rye whiskey named after Bat Masterson, the Canadian-born Old West lawman. It is made from a 100% rye mash bill, distilled in pot stills at Alberta Distillers in Alberta, Canada, and bottled at 45% ABV in Sonoma, California. The whiskey spends ten years in new charred American oak, then receives a finish in French oak barrels. The length of that finish varies from barrel to barrel. Expect dried dates and figs, peach and plum on the palate, with a hint of black liquorice, clove, ginger, tobacco and firm, wine-like tannins. Toasted oak, raisin and honey show on the nose, and the finish is lingering honey and clove.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
