Blossoming Auld Sherried is a single malt from Michel Couvreur, made to revive the spirit of the whiskies of the Victorian era. It is reported to have matured for at least 15 years in very old Pedro Ximenez casks. It is bottled at 45% ABV.
The nose is classic sweet sherry: raisins, prunes, lovage and toffee. The palate starts sweet, then turns intensely dry, very oily and mouth-filling, with mocha and fudge notes that linger.
