Michel Couvreur Intravagan'za Cereal Spirit MCo (70cl, 50%)

Intravagan'za is a youthful whisky from Michel Couvreur, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in very old sherry casks, in the damp cellar in Burgundy where Couvreur finishes Scottish distillate. The nose is fruity and sweet, with malty, caramel and toffee notes. On the palate the sweet toffee gives way to a pleasant bitterness, then clear walnut and bitter almond appear on the second sip, with malt and oak sitting quietly behind.
