Overaged Malt Whisky is a long-standing bottling from Michel Couvreur, always made as a vatting of malt whiskies of different ages. According to Couvreur, the youngest is 12 years old, while the oldest has spent up to 27 years in oak casks. It is bottled at a cask strength of 52% in a 70cl bottle. The nose is fruity, with lightly smoky grain notes that fade with time into a pleasant dryness. The palate starts sweet and turns lightly dry, with hazelnut, cereal, browned butter, raisins, sherry and toffee in an intense, lasting and gently warming flavour.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
