The Unique from Michel Couvreur is a light, youthful grain whisky, distilled from malted and unmalted grain in the manner of Irish pure pot still whiskey. It matured for 4 years in oak casks in the rock cellar of Michel Couvreur in Burgundy and is bottled at 44% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is described as a classic aperitif whisky.
The nose opens with a fruity grape and vanilla cream, then caramel, dark berries and light sweetness, with distinct pear notes emerging over time. On the palate, malt, light sweetness and fresh, restrained oak follow.
