This is Michter's Small Batch Unblended American Whiskey, bottled at 41.7% ABV. It matures in ex-bourbon casks, which sets it apart from bourbon and rye, where new oak barrels are required. The whiskey returned in 2013 after a three-year break, once Master Distiller Willie Pratt released the casks. It is described as showing American cask character, grain, vanilla, wood spice and ripe sweetness, with a soft structure.
