Milam & Greene Triple Cask Bourbon is a blend of three straight bourbons from Texas, Kentucky and Tennessee, bottled at 47% in a 75cl bottle. Each is aged in its own state before the whiskies travel to Blanco, Texas, for final ageing, batching and bottling.
The Texas bourbon is distilled in a pot still and brings spice. The Kentucky component, from a column still, adds vanilla and fruit, and the older Tennessee whiskey gives structure. The mashbill is 70% corn, 22% malted rye and 8% barley.
The nose shows cedar, cinnamon, hazelnut and cocoa. The palate is creamy, with vanilla, dried fig and baking spices. The finish is long, with maple sweetness and cinnamon.
