Apex Rum Cask Batch 4 is a single malt from Milk & Honey, Israel's first whisky distillery, in Tel Aviv. It was matured in a very old Jamaican rum cask, which gives it a strongly tropical character.
The nose is bold banana, juicy pineapple and melon, with funky esters. The palate carries more rum character: bittersweet dried fruits, exotic fresh fruit and earthy leather, followed by building zesty spice. The finish recalls banana fritters and grilled pineapple with pepper, ending woody and drying.
