Millstone Special #35 is a peated Dutch single malt, six years old, matured in casks that previously held Rivesaltes, a sweet French wine. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The whisky was distilled on 22 March 2019 and bottled at 46% on 5 April 2025 by Zuidam, in a 70cl bottle, from an outturn of 1,507 bottles.
The nose offers warm stewed peach and lemon with bonfire smoke, dark fruit, honey, a little raisin and a winey note. Apricot, orange and other citrus meet peat smoke on the palate, with spicy oak, ripe plum and dried fig. The finish is long and slightly drying, with smoke, dark chocolate, spice and a mineral sweetness.
