This is Millstone Special #29, a 7 year old Dutch single malt distilled by Zuidam on 30 August 2016 and bottled on 30 October 2023. It was bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle with a tube, from an edition of 2,684 bottles.
It spent its whole maturation in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks rather than a final finish. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose has raisins and figs with caramel and chocolate, light oak and vanilla, and a fine rancio note. The palate is full-bodied, with dried fruit, toffee and citrus, gentle spice and oak. The finish is long and soft, with a warm, light sweetness.
