Sherry finish
Minor Case Rye is a straight rye whiskey made by Limestone Branch. It recreates the style of rye that M.C. Beam distilled before Prohibition, a project the Beam family came to see as an unfinished chapter. The rye is matured in American oak, then moved into sherry casks for a finish of around six months. Those casks come from Meier's Wine Cellars in Silverton, Ohio. The result is a smoother rye. Spice is still present, with a hazy edge, and there are fruity, almost floral notes.
