Minor Case Single Barrel 2024 is a six-year-old rye whiskey from Limestone Branch Distillery in Kentucky. It comes from a single barrel and is bottled at 55% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The release is limited to 222 bottles. Limestone Branch was founded in 2010 by the brothers Steve and Paul Beam, whose family has distilled for seven generations. The Minor Case name comes from an ancestor of the two brothers. The nose is spicy rye with warm vanilla, oak and dark fruit. The palate is harmonious, with caramel, dark chocolate, peppery spice, vanilla and citrus. The finish is long and intense, spicy, with a slight sweetness.
