Minor Case is a straight rye whiskey aged for two years and finished in ex-sherry casks, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It is made by Limestone Branch Distillery in Kentucky, which brothers Steve and Paul Beam founded in 2010. The name comes from Minor Case Beam, an ancestor of the two brothers.
The nose has subtle sherry notes that gradually join earthy, mineral tones. The palate is lightly oily, with butterscotch, vanilla, orange, elderberry, pear and caramel, and the sherry returns in a long finish.
