Montefalco Rosso DOC BIO is an organic red wine from Perticaia, produced mainly from Sangiovese with Sagrantino and other local varieties. It has an intense ruby red colour and aromas of ripe red fruit such as cherries and plums, enriched by sweet spice notes and a light vanilla touch from wood ageing. On the palate it is solid but balanced, with soft tannins, balanced freshness and acidity, and a long, pleasantly persistent finish. Ageing in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months adds complexity and harmony. The organic production reflects the estate's attention to quality and the environment.
