Montelobos Pechuga Mezcal (75cl, 47.9%)

Montelobos Pechuga is a triple-distilled mezcal made from 100% Espadín agave at Palenque Montelobos in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca. The agave is cooked in underground stone pits, crushed by tahona and fermented in open pine vats. For the third distillation a kosher-certified turkey breast is suspended in the still with seasonal fruits and spices. The nose brings orange peel, tropical fruit, roasted almonds, nutmeg and pumpkin in tacha. The palate opens with maple honey and pineapple, then toasted macadamia, brown sugar and warming spice, with savoury notes of roasted meat. The finish is long and velvety, with herbal notes, gentle smoke and toasted marshmallow.
