A 10 year old Speyside single malt from Mortlach, distilled in 2013 and bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh in its Warehouse Reserve range at 59.5% ABV. It comes from a single refill ex-bourbon hogshead and gave 283 bottles. Mortlach's spirit is distilled 2.81 times. The nose offers dark chocolate, hazelnuts and salted caramel. The palate is oily, with earthy truffle and walnuts balanced by sweet vanilla, creme brulee and saline undertones. The finish brings spicy ginger, clove and a lingering saltiness.
