A ten-year-old Mortlach from Speyside, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2026 by Signatory Vintage for its 100 Proof edition. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The whisky matured in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez butt, which gives it a deep colour and a pronounced sherry character.
Ripe plums, dark berries, figs and raisins come through on the nose, with creamy caramel and a little cocoa. The palate brings honey, dried fruit and roasted nuts, with cocoa and cinnamon. The finish is long, with melting caramel, dark cocoa and a gentle sherry sweetness.
