Mortlach 10 Years Old Vintage 2016 – First Fill Pedro Ximénez Butts Finish – Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition #84 (57.1%)

A ten-year-old Speyside single malt from Mortlach, bottled by Signatory Vintage as its 100 Proof Edition #84. It was distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2026 at 57.1% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colouring. The whisky was finished in first-fill Pedro Ximénez butts. Mortlach dates from 1823, when it became the first legal distillery in Dufftown, and it is known as The Beast of Dufftown. Its spirit follows what is called 2.81 distillation, using six differently shaped stills, among them the small Wee Witchie, and the condensing is done in traditional worm tubs.
