Mortlach 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Dufftown distillery founded by James Findlater in 1823. It was matured in both European and American oak casks.
Mortlach has been distilled 2.81 times since 1896, using six copper stills of differing design. This bottling is dedicated to the smallest of them, known as The Wee Witchie.
The nose is lightly spiced, with caramel and barley. The palate is fresh and fruity, with warmed oak and soft raisins in dark chocolate. The finish is long, with nuts and citrus oils.
