Mortlach – 14 Year Old Alexander's Way (70cl, 43.4%)

Alexander's Way is a 14 year old Mortlach single malt, bottled at 43.4% in a 70cl bottle and released as a travel retail exclusive. It was bottled in Dufftown, Scotland. Mortlach is known as The Beast of Dufftown, and this release is made through the distillery's 2.81 distillation process, which gives a concentrated, rich spirit. The nose offers sweet malt, hints of dried fruit, soft spices and subtle oak. The palate is full and layered, with honey, toffee, spicy warmth and a hint of dark chocolate. The finish is long, warm and elegantly dry.
