Mortlach 15 Years is a single malt from Dufftown, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It spent all fifteen years in former sherry casks and belongs to the Distillery Labels range.
Mortlach was founded in 1823 and was the first legal distillery in Dufftown.
The nose is rich in dried fruit, toffee and dark chocolate, with orange peel. The palate is spicy and full-bodied, with sherry, candied fruit, vanilla and a touch of oak. The finish is long, with nutmeg and sherry sweetness.
