Mortlach – 19 Year Old 2007/2026 Signatory Vintage 1st Fill Bolgheri Cask (70cl, 56.6%)

This Mortlach is a 19 year old Speyside single malt, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2026 by Signatory Vintage from a single first fill Bolgheri cask. It was bottled at a cask strength of 56.6%, in a run of 287 bottles. The cask is a former red wine cask from Tuscany, which adds a fruit-led side to the malt, alongside malty sweetness and spicy oak. The whisky is not smoky, is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose shows malty sweetness with ripe cherries and dark berries. Stewed fruit and oak spice meet a powerful texture on the palate, and the finish is dry and long, with lingering dark fruit.
