Mortlach – 2007/2022 14 Year Old Signatory Vintage Cask Strength (70cl, 52%)

This is a 14 year old Speyside single malt from Mortlach, bottled by Signatory Vintage as a single cask in its Cask Strength Collection. It was distilled on 30 April 2007 and bottled on 8 April 2022 at 52%, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky first matured in refill hogsheads, then spent 16 months finishing in a fresh sherry butt. The sherry finish adds dark fruit, brown sugar, prunes, leather, tobacco and toasty spice to Mortlach's heavy, meaty and spicy distillery character.
