A 21 year old Mortlach from Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask range, distilled in September 1991 and bottled in February 2013. It was matured in a refill hogshead, single cask 9432, and bottled at 50% abv. The outturn was 259 bottles. The nose recalls a damp dunnage warehouse, with sweet vanilla and spice. On the palate there is toffee, more vanilla, cedar wood and sweet, spicy tobacco. The finish is round and mellow, staying sweet and moving towards chocolate and cinnamon.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
