This is a 25-year-old Speyside single malt from Mortlach, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Distillery Labels series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46%. Gordon & MacPhail raised the strength of this 25-year-old from 43% to 46%, which adds to its flavour intensity. Mortlach is a distillery long associated with the bottler. The nose combines rich sherry aromas with fruitcake. On the palate, autumnal spices and a hint of orange sit alongside summer berries. The finish is long and lingering, with almonds.
