Midnight Dusk is a Mortlach single malt from the Diageo Special Releases of 2024, bottled at 57.5% without an age statement. After maturing in bourbon casks, it was finished in two kinds of Italian wine cask, one that held sweet Ramandolo white wine and one that held Sangiovese red wine. The wine fruit sits alongside the robust, savoury character of the distillery. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose is soft, dry and slightly prickly, with apricot, red apple, raisins, blackberries, honey and a little toffee. The palate is creamy, with preserved fruit, dried mango and salted caramel before black pepper and drier tannins. The finish is medium to long, dry and warm, with fruity acidity, white pepper and a savoury umami note.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
